On 15th May 2019, Boonray Technology was invited to Microsoft AI & IoT Insider Labs' launch ceremony and became one of the first Chinse tech-companies to enter the laboratory.

The lab is the fourth personal intelligent lab set up by Microsoft worldwide and it is the largest Microsoft lab in the world. It is a global research and development organisation specially established to promote artificial intelligence and IoT solutions and application innovation research and development and industrialisation. Moreover, the lab is designed to promote the deep integration of AI and IoT and digital transformation of enterprises in manufacturing, retail, medical high-tech, finance, public affairs and other industries.

The head of product department of Boonray Technology, Ms Sophie Mao, has represented Boonray Technology to attend the ceremony, and the cooperation certificate was awarded at the ceremony. Boonray Technology has rich practical experiences and technical skills in the field of AI and IoT. Due to Boonray Technology R&D strength in IoT and AI field, Boonray Technology was selected by Microsoft together with several leading technology companies as the first batch of cooperative enterprises. More comprehensive IoT products and solutions will be provided in the future from the cooperation between Boonray Technology and Microsoft.

Companies at Pudong New District and Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd signed a strategic cooperation memorandum on 16th January 2019. The memorandum stated that the funding, innovative features and comprehensive supports from the Zhangjiang Research will be utilized to exert Microsoft's brand, service, technology and industrial chain, and use Microsoft AI and IoT laboratories as supporting carriers not only to promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, but to enterprise digital transformation as well. Microsoft and Zhangjiang Group have worked closely together and the laboratory has completed the initial construction in last early May under the leadership of Pudong government, Pudong Science and Economic Committee and Shanghai Zhangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee since the signing of the project.
